GT: New Horizons server – siton.me

This page is a reference to join my minecraft server :3! Please feel free to join, GTNH is an extremely fun modpack. I'd go as far to say it's the best modpack in the game and nothing comes close in terms of quality, design, content and updates.

Setup steps

Follow these in order. Once you're done, you should be able to launch GTNH and join siton.me.

  1. 1. Install Prism Launcher
Download Prism Launcher for your OS:
    Prism Launcher – downloads

Install it, run it once, and complete the basic setup (language, etc.). Add your Minecraft account under Accounts.
  2. 2. Download GT New Horizons 2.8.2 (Java 17–25)
Go to the official GTNH downloads page:
    GT New Horizons – downloads

Grab the MultiMC/Prism instance for Java 17–25:
    GT_New_Horizons_2.8.2_Java_17-25.zip
  3. 3. Import the instance into Prism
    In Prism Launcher:
    – Click Add InstanceImport (or "Import from ZIP").
    – Select GT_New_Horizons_2.8.2_Java_17-25.zip.
    – Let it all import
  4. 4. Set Java and memory
    Recommended: Java 25 from Adoptium:
    Temurin Java 25 – Adoptium

    In Prism Launcher:
    – Go to Settings → Java.
    – Point the Java path to your Java 25 executable.
    – Set RAM to around 6–8 GB if your system allows it.
  5. 5. Launch GTNH and add the server
    – In Prism, select your GTNH instance and click Launch.
    – First startup will take a while; that's normal.
    – Once at the main menu, go to Multiplayer.
    – Click Add Server and use:
      • Name: GTNH – siton.me
      • Address: siton.me
    – Join the server (as long as you're whitelisted).
Use the Java 17–25 GTNH build only. The Curseforge builds of GTNH are buggy and require custom download steps and configuration. GTNH is a highly custom pack made by a set of developers over many years and works best with Prism/MultiMC.
